Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Director Mohammad Asaduzzaman on Sunday visited several development project sites in Thakurgaon sadar upazila.
During this daylong visit, he explored the Uttaran Ashrayan, Tangon Bridge, a school, and other development projects built for the transgender community at Krishnapur village under the sadar upazila's Rahimanpur union.
He planted trees in the area and spoke with the transgender community and minority groups.
Asaduzzaman promised them that they would continue to improve their quality of life with funding allocated by the PMO.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abdullah Al Mamun, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shahriar Rahman, and other chairmen of the union parishad accompanied the PMO director.
Moreover, members of a minority group performed their traditional dance during a cultural event.
