The victim is undergoing treatment at the 250-bed Gopalganj General Hospital
A university student sustained severe injuries from a stone thrown at a moving train near Faridpurl ate on Saturday.
Tamanna Tanni, a second-year law student at Gopalganj’s Bangabandhu Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU) is now undergoing treatment at the state-run hospital in Gopalganj town.
Tamanna was taken to 250-bed Gopalganj General Hospital, after providing primary treatment at the train.
According to witnesses, Tamanna was travelling on Gopalganj-bound 'Tungipara Express’. When thet rain was crossing Boalmari railway station of Faridpur, a stone hit her forehead, leaving her critically injured.
“Tamanna was critically injured and bled profusely. She was taken to Gopalganj general hospital for better treatment by a university vehicle following first aid.”
Dr Shahriar Khan, a duty doctor at the Gopalganj general hospital, said: “The stone injured the victim on her right forehead and left the spot swollen. A CT scan will show if there's any damage to the brain,”
We have kept her on 24-hour observation, said the duty doctor.
