Jatiya Party Member of Parliament Fakhrul Imam incorporated his notions of love in a speech before favoring the motion to send The Jute Bill 2017 into circulation. After saying his greetings, Fakhrul said: “Love is waiting for someone despite knowing that he might not come.”
When State Minister for Ministry of Textile and Jute Mirza Azam got the floor, in his argument in favour of passing the bill, he talked about the enormous love Bangladeshi people had for jute.
Following the state minister's speech, Speaker of the Parliament Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury said: “If we get sarees made of jute, the love for jute will increase.”
The whole house lauded her remarks by thumping the table.
Member of Parliament Kazi Feroz Rashid said in this context: “We hope that the state minister will gift all of us sarees made of jute come the next Valentine’s Day.”
In response, the state minister said that Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation will present sarees to the members of the parliament from the first batch that would be produced.
When the floor went back to Fakhrul Imam for his rebuttal, at one point he poetically said that although we are surrounded by people, it is difficult to find someone to love.
Rawshan Ara Mannan, along with some other members of the parliament also greeted the house on Valentine's Day.
