
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned from her four-day state visit to India on Monday evening.
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the prime minister landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 6:50pm.
She was received by Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu, Political Advisor to the prime minister HT Imam, Presidium Member Faruk Khan among others.
When PM Hasina reached Ganabhaban, she was greeted by a delegation of Awami League and its supporting bodies led by AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader.
Afterwards, her Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told BSS that the prime minister would hold a press conference to discuss her India visit at 4:30pm on Tuesday.
Awami League had planned for a massive welcoming ceremony for the prime minister from the airport to Ganabhaban, which was cancelled by a direct order by PM Hasina.
The prime minister’s state visit from April 7-10 was the first by Sheikh Hasina in her current term as premier. Her last state visit to India was in 2010.
