Jatiya Party on Saturday said they are preparing to contest the upcoming national elections in all 300 constituencies, but are yet to finalise the list of possible candidates.
"Some media outlets ran stories on the list of JaPa candidates for the upcoming national elections. These stories are imaginary ones ...such media reports are confusing," said Sunil Shuvo Roy, press and political secretary of JaPa Chairman HM Ershad, in a press statement as quoted by UNB.
Shuvo, however, said JaPa had collected the names and CVs of those who are eager to take part in the national elections on JaPa tickets.
He said their names had been recorded through district committees.
The final list will be prepared after the JaPa parliamentary board interviews the candidates, Shuvo added.
