Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wants to sit in dialogue with other parties, too.

Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges minister while talking to reporters said so, after a meeting with French Ambassador in Dhaka Marie Annick Bourdin and German Ambassador Peter Fahrenholtz at the Secretariat yesterday, reports UNB.

He said:"All, irrespective of party and opinion, have supported the prime minister's dialogue initiative.  Even ambassadors too supported and encouraged the initiative."

"During the dialogue with the Jatiya Oikya Front, there'll be 20 representatives from Awami League. The Prime Minister has no precondition... talks can be held on any issue," he said.

Responding to a query over BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's remark, he said:“It is a matter of the court and Khaleda's verdict has no relation with this dialogue and that, BNP will have to fight a legal battle."

The ambassadors had wanted to know about the elections and election environment. “I told them the election will be held under the Election Commission and the government will only carry out the routine work," he said.
