Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to attend the reunion as the chief guest

The Bangladesh Chhatra League has not invited its two top former leaders -- Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon and Golam Rabbani -- for the reunion, organized on the occasion of its 72nd founding anniversary.

Shovon and Rabbani were removed from the posts of Chhatra League president and general secretary on September 14, 2019, for their controversial activities and alleged abuse of office.

As per the instruction from Awami League high command they have not been invited in the reunion, Chhatra League's acting president Al-Nahean Khan Joy confirmed Dhaka Tribune on Thursday.

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will attend the reunion as the chief guest, which is scheduled on January 4 at Dhaka's Suhrawardy Udyan.
