On October 13, Rizvi was admitted to Labaid Hospital as he had suffered a cardiac arrest after joining a human-chain program
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, BNP senior joint secretary general, was hospitalised again on Tuesday for treatment of cardiac problems.
He was admitted to Labaid Specialized Hospital in Dhaka at about 11:30 am, said the BNP leader’s Personal Assistant Arifur Rahman Tushar.
Tushar added that Rizvi has been receiving treatment under Prof Dr APM Sohrabuzzaman at the hospital.
BNP Assistant Health Affairs Secretary Dr Rafiqul Islam said Rizvi had been admitted to the hospital for follow-up treatment of cardiac problems. A medical board will decide the next course of treatment.
On October 13, Rizvi was admitted to Labaid Hospital as he had suffered a cardiac arrest after joining a human-chain program in front of the National Press Club.
Later, doctors found a blockage in his heart and removed it.
He was discharged from the hospital on October 28.
