The decision was made on September 15
The authorities have warned of action if any CNG refueling station is found selling gas from 6-10pm from Sunday.
Several vigilance teams of the gas supply companies will monitor the CNG stations and take punitive action under the Gas Act 2010, say officials.
The government declared the suspension of gas supply to the CNG stations on September 15 to ensure uninterrupted supply for the power plants.
The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources made the decision after Petrobangla sat with the stakeholders.
On July 19, Petrobangla took the decision of gas rationing in the CNG stations.
The move came against the backdrop of the government’s decision to operate gas-fired power plants to generate electricity.
