Squally weather unlikely as the depression over the North Bay is likely to weaken move further away from Bangladesh, according to Met Office
The maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to lower their cautionary signals as squally weather is unlikely over the north Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas in Bangladesh.
“The depression over Jharkhand and adjoining area moved northwards further, weakening into a well-marked low over Bihar and adjoining East Uttar Pradesh at 6am today [Friday]. It is likely to move northwards further and weaken gradually and become unimportant,” a Met Office weather bulletin said on Friday morning.

Squally weather is unlikely over the North Bay and adjoining coastal areas in the country, it added.
All fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay and deep sea have been advised to remain in shelter till further notice.
Earlier on Thursday, the maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra were advised to hoist Local Cautionary Signal No 3 due to the cyclonic storm Yaas.
