Regency appoints Ahsan Ishaque as director of sales and marketing

Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort recently appointed Ahsan Ishaque as its director of sales and marketing. Ahsan boasts near 20 years of experience in the hotel industry, having begun his career as manager of airport guest services at the Dhaka Sheraton Hotel in 1999. He served in various positions at the hotel, including assistant sales manager, before transferring to Le Meridien Kathmandu, Nepal, as director of sales and marketing in 2007. He also worked with Starwood Hotel & Resorts Worldwide for 12 years, and was the general manager of the standalone hotel in Sharjah, UAE. Ahsan was also previously the CEO of Guide Tours Ltd, the largest tour operator in Bangladesh, as well as the assistant general manager of Dusai Resort & Spa. Ahsan Ishaque received the Starwood Worldwide Sales Incentive Award in 2005.
