Tony Roma’s now in Dhaka

World famous steak and ribs chain restaurant Tony Roma's is now in Dhaka.

The grand opening ceremony was held at US-based Tony Roma’s first Bangladesh branch at Gulshan 2 on Monday.

US Ambassador to Bangladesh Marcia Bernicat attended the function as the chief guest.

Tony Roma’s is a full service, casual dining family restaurant which serves its signature premier BBQ ribs and steaks at locations across the world. They specialize in baby back ribs.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Bernicat said she was proud to see American companies finding lucrative business opportunities in Bangladesh.

“As Bangladesh’s economy grows, American companies will keep on continuing to be its partners,” she said, explaining that this was a good opportunity to further the cultural exchange between both nations.

Speakers at the ceremony also pointed out that they were pleased to see Bangladesh leading the way in the food business in South Asia.

The restaurant is being introduced in Bangladesh by Master Franchisee Food Chain Asia Ltd, which is also the franchisee of Second Cup Coffee, Johnny Rockets, and Manhattan Fish Market in Dhaka.

Food Chain Asia Head of Operations Md Tanvir Kaisar said he was extremely thankful to the country's entrepreneurs for taking initiatives to contribute to Bangladesh’s growing economy.

“We are committed to providing our guests with the highest quality service, and maintaining high standards for the utmost satisfaction of our customers,” he said.

With over 150 family restaurant locations on six continents, Tony Roma’s is currently one of the most globally recognizable names in the food industry.

Food enthusiasts of Bangladesh will be able to visit Tony Roma’s every day from 12pm to 11pm.

The restaurant is also running a lunch offer in celebration of its grand opening, which customers would be able to enjoy from 12pm to 5pm till further notice.
