Bangladesh bagged one champion and five merit awards at the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards (APICTA) 2018 at the 18thaward ceremony that took place in Guangzhou, Chinaon Saturday, a press release stated.
APICTA’18’s host anditsChinese Coordinator who is also the Guangdong Software Industry Association (GDSIA)’s Secretary General, Lyu Hui,as well as APICTA’s Chairman Stan Singh, spoke at the program.
Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) President Syed Almas Kabir lead the Bangladesh delegation. BASIS Senior Vice President Farhana A Rahman, Vice President (Admin) and APICTAJudge Shoeb Ahmed Masud, Director and APICTAJudge Didarul Alam, APICTA’sBangladesh Coordinator, Mostafizur Rahaman Sohel, APICTAJudge Abdullah H Kafi, were also in the team.
Joint Secretary (Organizational Support and Innovation Branch) Ehsanul Parvez, and Deputy Secretary (ICT Promotion Section) of the ICT Division Dr Muhammed Mehedi Hassan, were, among others, members of the Bangladesh delegation.
This year, 81 delegates from Bangladesh participated in the global event which took place from 9-13 October.
