
A workshop entitled “Future Supply Chain Management” was held at a Gulshan hotel in Dhaka on Friday, focusing on big data analysis, project management, forecasting error and inventory optimization and Internet of Things (IoT).
“With the increasing demand of supply chain management globally, it has become an important concept in most of the business and industries in Bangladesh that deals with core business driving issues like strategic sourcing, procurement, negotiation, risk analysis, forecasting, operation and project management, customer service, commercial logistics and marketing management etc,” said SM Tanzil Aslam, founding president of Global Society for Supply Chain Professional (GSSCP), organizers of the event.
“Our vision is to create a nationwide standard network of supply chain professionals and partner organizations to achieve success by offering one stop solution with advanced resources for the members to represent future Bangladesh,” he added.
“GSSCP provides networking opportunities for members to communicate in order to develop and improve our supply chain management skills,” said a participant at the workshop.
Palmal Group’s assistant general manager Mudassir Hossain, Akij Group’s project manager Mohammed Shafiqul Islam, Assistant Manager of Jadoo Digital Md Sirajus Salehin and GSSCP president SM Tanzil Aslam conducted multiple sessions at the workshop.
