Xiaomi to open 100 stores all over Bangladesh

'We hope that with the official kick off in this market, we will be able to bring all the latest products to Bangladesh at an honest pricing for all our Mi fans'

Chinese electronics company Xiaomi on Tuesday announced it will open direct sales centers in Bangladesh to strengthen their presence and extend more local support to the market.

Xiaomi will be selling their products through 100 ‘Mi’ authorized stores across the country and online, in partnership with Daraz Bangladesh.

The company also announced the launch of a new cellphone, Redmi S2 in Bangladesh, marking the arrival of the new Redmi S series as well as launching its online forum Mi community to connect its users.

Mi fans can also visit Mi.com/bd – Xiaomi’s own online portal for detailed information about its product offerings in Bangladesh.

Manu Jain, vice-president for Xiaomi and managing director for Xiaomi India said: “Xiaomi is the fastest growing technology company over the world. We are very excited to bring Xiaomi officially into Bangladesh for millions of our Mi fans here. Over the last few years, we have seen a tremendous growth in the smartphone market in Bangladesh which has witnessed double digit growth.”

Xiaomi announced the offer of two Redmi S2 handsets with prices from Tk14,999 for the 3GB+32GB version and Tk17,999 for the 4GB+64GB version.
