Osama Taseer elected DCCI president

Osama is the chairman of Four Wings Ltd, an RMG manufacturing company engaged in the sector since 1992. He also served as DCCI’s senior vice president in 2014

Osama Taseer was elected as President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) for 2019 on saturday, according to a press release.

Besides, Waqar Ahmad Choudhury was elected as senior vice president and Imran Ahmed as vice president of the organisation, announced at DCCI’s 57th annual general meeting (AGM) held in its auditorium.

Osama is the chairman of Four Wings Ltd, an RMG manufacturing company engaged in the sector since 1992. He also served as DCCI’s senior vice president in 2014.

He was also a director of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) in 2007-08, secretary general of Dutch Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2009-10 and a lifetime member of The Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB).

Waqar Ahmad Chowdhury is chairman of the executive committee of Union Capital Ltd and also a member of Bangladesh German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BGCCI).

Imran Ahmed is the CEO of Nawab & Sons and also Managing Director at both ISAS Trading Corporation and Studies Worldwide.  He is serving as a director in Islamic Insurance Bangladesh Ltd and joint secretary of Bicycle Merchants Assembling and Importers Association.
