Chef’s Table: Revolutionizing Dhaka’s culinary experience

If you are looking for food varieties, be it Chinese or English or Continental, Chef’s Table in Dhaka can be a good option which brings different food varieties under one single roof.

The upscale food court brings 24 stalls of country’s prominent food brands, along with some international ones, to entertain the Dhaka’s food-lovers.

Chef’s Table is the latest initiative by Unimart, a sister concern of United Group, that is currently serving 22 types of cuisine including Italian, Arabic, English, Japanese, Chinese, Sri Lankan, Thai, Continental foods etc to entertain appetite of people.

Chef’s Table had its soft launch on July 1 last year and was opened for all since July 12 at road 90 at Gulshan 2 targeting triangle residents- from Gulshan, Banani and Baridhara.

Developed in a 27,000 square feet area, Chef’s Table consists of 24 food stalls that will deliver you a family and friendly environment with not only popular food items, but also with tasty foods, good interior and seating arrangement.

Among the popular brands, Emerald Bakery and Cafe, Club Gelato, Madchef X, Taste of Lanka, Hakka Dhaka, So Juicy, Thai Emerald, Lean Nation, Bhoj Company, Crack Snack is some of them.

The place can host 700 people at a time, and is serving about 4,000 people average every day.

What sets Chef’s Table apart

Chef’s Table is unique in the sense that it is the ultimate destination for signature dishes of not just one but a number of cuisines. Although in other food courts, brands do sale almost same food items in all stalls, but in the Chef’s Table, they do not allow repetition of food item in all stalls.

For example, if you are looking for burger, Madchef X will come up with burgers, while Pizza Guy is the sole stall for Pizza. 

One of the most interesting feature is that the court provides you the option to choose as many as ingredients you want for healthy salad. All you have to do is to take the ingredients you want from the stall and at the end, it will have to be paid based on weight. Tk0.83 is the price for per gram of Salad.

For health conscious people, Lean Nation is there who will make sure you have a balanced meal with required amount of calorie.

Three food carts by renowned brands are there to serve you desert items including ice cream, pastry and specialized desert menus.

Although the price varies based on items, however the average cost for lunch can be at Tk500 per person.

For people with kids, there is a play zone called ‘Play Town’ where children can have good times by enjoying different rides by paying necessary charges.

For comedy lovers, Naveed's Comedy Club hosts shows to amuse people, completely free of cost, on every Thursday from 8pm to 10pm.

It also includes female prayer room, nursing room, breastfeeding zone etc.

Private space

There is a private space in the area which can be rented for small events, shows, meetings, small gatherings etc. The place can accommodate 30 people. For first two hours, the cost is Tk4,000 and Tk1,000 is charged for every extra hour.

What next

Chef’s Table will be launching two more of its branches in Dhaka within 2019.

The first one will be launched in Satmasjid Road in Dhanmondi by mid February and another one is expected by the end of this year.
