The certificate was given to FBCCI for rendering exceptional service to the international customs community
The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) has received the Certificate of Merit, awarded by the World Customs Organization (WCO) on the occasion of International Customs Day.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal handed over the certificate to FBCCI President M Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin at a ceremony held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) on Saturday, said a press release.
As a global practice, the revenue authorities recognize its associate organizations every year. FBCCI has received this prestigious award for the second time.
Signed by WCO Secretary General Kunio Mikuriya, the certificate was given to FBCCI for rendering exceptional service to the international customs community.
Among others, the Prime Minister’s Economic Affairs Adviser Dr Mashiur Rahman, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, and National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, were also present at the event.
