The five- day fair will be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre
The annual fair of Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) will begin in Dhaka from tomorrow and will continue till February 10.
The five- day fair will be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, where 168 developer companies will participate, organizers said.
Besides, 20 building materials and 14 money lending organizations will also take part, Rehab First Vice-President Liaquat Ali Bhuiyan told reporters at a press conference held at Jatiya Press Club on Monday.
Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Karim and National Board of Revenue Chairman Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan are expected to attend the inaugural ceremony.
He also added 30 organizations will participate as co-sponsors at the fair which will accommodate 202 stalls.
“We organize such fairs in various countries including United States of America, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Italy, Canada, Australia and Qatar to promote sales of apartments. The fair creates a bridge between buyers and our members,” the vice president said.
He said 1015 developer companies who are member of the association is working to make well-planned city and solve the rising housing demand of the city.
According to him, their members and 269 linkage industries associated with construction sector is contributing to economic growth.
Rehab Director Shakil Kamal Chowdhaury said they had received bookings of about Tk900-950 crore last year from the fair and is expecting more booking this time.
The fair will remain open from 10am to 9pm everyday where a single entry ticket will cost Tk50 and multiple entries Tk100.
The multiple entry tickets can be used for five times entries. Visitors will receive various offers at the fair venue. Also, there will be raffle draw which will gift private cars, motorcycles, refrigerators, televisions, and mobiles via raffle draw.
Rehab has been organizing the housing fair since 2001 to attract customers to the real estate sector.
