Gold prices up again by Tk1,166 per bhori

The decision of price hike was made on Saturday as the prices of dollar against the Taka were on the upward trend in local bullion markets

Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) has increased prices of all types of gold by Tk1,166 per bhori, which took effect on Monday.

The decision of price hike was made on Saturday as the prices of dollar against the Taka were on the upward trend in local bullion markets, according to a statement of the Samity.

As per the new decision, each bhori of 22-carat gold will now cost Tk58,028, 21-carat Tk55,696, and 18-carat will be sold at Tk50,640 in the local market.

The price of gold in the traditional method is now set at Tk29,160 and 21-carat silver at Tk933 per bhori.

Earlier, the jewellers association had hiked the gold prices twice this year.
