The Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) has been extended further for two days to February 6 in the face of traders demand.

"We extended the time in consultation with Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi," said Jafar Uddin, secretary at the Ministry of Commerce.
"Traders requested us for the time expansion as the fair was closed on two Fridays under an unavoidable circumstance," he told reporters and added that the stall owners did not need to pay extra money for the extended days.
Meanwhile, the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), the organizer of the fair, arranged the fair closing ceremony on Monday afternoon as per the previous schedule.
A number of 38 firms across the country in 13 different categories got awards in the program for their good performances in the fair.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, EPB Vice chairman Fatima Yasmin, FBCCI Vice President Siddiqur Rahman were present, among others, in the program.
