Women Entrepreneur Association (WEA) has elected Tootli Rahman as the new president of the board.
The nonprofit organization elected new board members in an online election on July 4, according to a media release.
Newly elected President Tootli Rahman said that due to Covid-19, every program of the organization will be online.
She said: “We are learning fast the different ways of going online and how to do meetings on zoom. We plan to organize advocacy, training programs, webinars, and also interesting online shows, to bring positivity during the pandemic.”
Our WEA motto for this biennium 2020-2022, is to stay safe and to stay positive, said WEA president.
WEA is a nonprofit organization that was established in 1993 and was formed to promote the interests of women in business.
The organization has promoted women in different sectors like readymade garments, ornaments, handicrafts, handloom, leather products, pharmaceuticals, customer service, and ICT.
The association also does advocacy for creating a favorable business environment for women entrepreneurs in Bangladesh by providing and organizing soft skills training.
