Junior Chamber International (JCI) Dhaka East has formed its new board for the calendar year 2021.
The organization came up with the announcement at its general assembly held recently in a capital hotel, said a press release.
Eazaz Mohammed has been elected as the president while current Local President Wasif Wahed and current Local Director Shovona Shahid will be serving as Immediate Past Local President (IPLP) and Secretary General for the board respectively, it reads, adding that the election was conducted by the JCI Dhaka East Election Commissioner and outgoing Local President Asib Akram Auvi.
Among others, Minhaj Ahmed, Tahsin Azim Shezan and Shoaib Mozaffar Hasan took oath as vice presidents, while Shahmina Isha Mannan as general legal counsel, Shovona Shahid as secretary general, Nuzhatul Kawnain as special assistant to local president and Salma Akter Hira as treasurer.
Prior to the event, the 3rd general members meeting of the chapter took place with the presence of the majority of general members.
A special session on reflexology was also held prior to the general assembly.
JCI is a non-profit international non-governmental organization comprising young icons aged between 18 and 40 years who work to create a positive impact on society.
It has members in more than 120 countries. In Bangladesh, JCI is working with 14 local chapters while JCI Dhaka East is one of its founding chapters.
