Maya is one of the largest tele-health platforms in Bangladesh, providing all-in-one health solutions through their 150+ experts to 7.3 million users
Now healthcare-related queries can be met using Pathao app, thanks to tele-health platform Maya.
As part of its objective as a one-stop health solution provider, Maya recently began offering its services on Pathao's health feature, said a press release.
It is an integration that will not only serve the community, but also provide authenticity to the services provided to the people of Bangladesh, the release also said.
The new "Pathao Health, Powered by Maya" will provide services such as the option to post questions and receive answers anonymously, scroll through effective health blogs, receive e-prescriptions, and get expert advice from doctors, therapists and nutritionists.
Maya is one of the largest tele-health platforms in Bangladesh, providing all-in-one health solutions through their 150+ experts to 7.3 million users.
The company's aim and vision is to provide affordable and accessible healthcare to all.
Pathao is among the fastest-growing tech startups in Asia which has dedicated itself to creating solutions in order to minimize infrastructural problems.
Now, with its recent addition of the ‘health’ tab, it has the ability to reach the masses where healthcare facilities are not available through telemedicine.
Both the organizations agree to the importance of the addition of this feature as the pandemic has made physical and mental health centers almost inaccessible.
Maya’s primary goal is to allow users to access health care solutions from the palm of their hands. With the help of this partnership with Pathao, this solution can be accessed by a wider range of users from different regions of Bangladesh, said Tahsin Zaman, product manager - consumer end at Maya.
“In collaboration with our partner - Maya, we hope to harness the power of technology and the reach of Pathao’s digital services platform, to enable access to quality health information and solutions for our user base," said Fahim Ahmed, president of Pathao.
Recently, Maya has raised a $2.2 million seed round of financing co-led by The Osiris Group and Anchorless Bangladesh, the largest health-tech deal in Bangladesh.
With this round of financing, 2021 is going to be a big year for Maya as it moves forward to expand in countries like India, Pakistan, Srilanka, and UAE.
The company believes the next generation of healthcare will be decentralized, mobilized, and personalized instead of regionalized.
With Ivy Huq Russell, CEO and founder of Maya, helming the organization, it aims to get a deeper understanding into the healthcare ecosystem in Bangladesh and beyond, the release added.
