Daraz signs partnership with Swap

Bangladesh’s largest online marketplace, Daraz, recently signed a strategic partnership deal with Swap, Bangladesh’s first re-commerce brand. 

Under this partnership, anyone who can sell their old electronics through the Swap app or website will get a voucher of up to Tk6,000 alongside the selling price of the product, said a press release. 

With this voucher, they can buy a new phone from Daraz and the offer is valid from April 26 to May 13, 2021.

Managing Director of Daraz Bangladesh, Syed Mostahidal Hoq, and Managing Director and CEO of Swap and Livewire BD Limited, Parvez Hossain, represented the companies in the virtual signing ceremony. 

Hoq described the agreement as one that would increase the effectiveness of sales for smartphone users at a lower price during Eid. 

Hossain from Swap said: “This partnership would aid in building a greener Bangladesh by reducing e-waste and environmental pollution.”
