
The Bangladesh Bank has directed the scheduled banks to supply adequate amount of money in automated teller machine (ATM) booths during the holy Eid-ul-Azha holidays.
Besides the directive requires uninterrupted transactions in ATM boots, Point-of-Sale (POS), e-Payment Gateway and Mobile Financial Services (MFS).
The Payment Systems department of the central bank gave that instructions to the scheduled banks on Sunday.
A central bank circular was sent to the chief executive of scheduled banks to ensure round the clock services at ATM booths. As result, they can solve any kind of potential technical error faster.
According to the circular, the executives of bank will also ensure enough money and constant security in the ATM booths. This will ensure full Point of Sale (POS) service and make merchants and client aware of counterfeit money.
In case of e-payment gateway, the cardholders card transaction will have to be operated with two factor Authentication (2 FA) system.
All banks and their subsidiaries providing mobile financial services (MFS) to ensure uninterrupted transactions.
The transaction information will be provided through SMS alert service. The instruction also requires banks to provide round the clock Help Line services during the vacation.
