Mizanur became the director of Islami Bank on August 18, 2016
Md Mizanur Rahman, director of the Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd (IBBL) and Islami Bank Foundation, died on Saturday at the age of 59.
Mizanur, who was also former a district and sessions court judge, breathed his last in the early hours of Saturday at a hospital in Singapore, reported UNB.
He is survived by a son, two daughters, relatives and a number of well-wishers.
He was buried at the family graveyard in Wazirpur, Barisal on Sunday.
Mizanur became the director of Islami Bank on August 18, 2016.
Mizanur Rahman was born on January 14, 1959 in Jogirkanda village of Wazirpur in Barisal district. He completed his LLB (Honours) and LLM from Dhaka University.
He joined Bangladesh Civil Service (Judiciary) cadre in 1983 and served in various positions in different districts.
The Islami Bank family expressed deep condolence to the bereaved family of Mizanur and organized special prayers at the IBBL head office, zone offices and branches of the bank praying for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
