Export, import at Bhomra port halted due to Dol Purnima

The import and export activities through Bhomra Land Port remains halted since Thursday morning due to Dol Purnima Utsab, a major festival of the Hindu community in India. Mustafizur Rahman Nasim, general secretary of Bhomra Clearing and Forwarding Agents’ Association, told the Dhaka Tribune that Indian traders at Ghojadanga Land Port in West Bengal have been celebrating the festival. “As a result, export and import activities have been suspended on the both sides.”
