With a massive 566.66% increase, Global Insurance Company’s Q2 (April-June) earnings became positive.
In a filing with Dhaka Stock Exchange on Wednesday, the company said that its earnings per share (EPS) was Tk0.14 for April-June 2021 as against Tk0.03 in the negative for the same period of the previous year.
For the first six months of 2021, its EPS was Tk1.16 as against Tk0.97 for the first six months of 2020.
Meanwhile, its net asset value (NAV) per share was Tk13.91 as of June 30, 2021, and Tk12.66 as of June 30, 2020.
Global Insurance Company last offered 5% cash and 5% stock dividend to its shareholders back in the year 2019.
During Wednesday’s trade, the closing price for each of its shares was Tk57.8.
