Also obtains Trading Right Entitlement Certificate (Trec) licence from DSE for SBI Securities
The Q2 (April-June) earnings of Sonar Bangla Insurance Ltd has decreased by 9.8%.
In a filing with Dhaka Stock Exchange on Tuesday, the company said that its consolidated earnings per share (EPS) was Tk0.46 for the period as against Tk0.51 for the same period in 2020.
Meanwhile, its consolidated net asset value (NAV) per share was Tk21.60 as of June 30, 2021, and Tk19.62 as of June 30, 2020.
In its filing, the insurance company also said that it has obtained a Trading Right Entitlement Certificate (Trec) licence from DSE for SBI Securities Ltd, as its subsidiary organization.
Being the parent company of SBI Securities, Sonar Bangla Insurance holds 52% of its shares.
The insurance company last offered a 10% cash dividend to its shareholders back in the year 2019.
Its closing price was Tk83.7 during Tuesday’s trade.
