The Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control And Research (IEDCR) confirmed, after testing samples from the patient, and ordered all members of the ICU team of the hospital to go into quarantine.

Dr Aminul Hasan, director (hospital) at Directorate General of Health Services said he heard that a patient undergoing treatment at the private hospital was found infected by coronavirus, but he was not sure about the measures being taken in this regard.

He asked the reporter to call thirty minutes later. However, he did not pick up the call later.

An Emergency Medical Officer (EMO) of the hospital (AKMH) also confirmed that the ICU has been closed since Monday.
