Misha Showdagor, a long-serving actor in Bangladeshi film industry, was seen performing football stunts in a music video released for the Brazil fans in the country for the Fifa World Cup 2018.
The music video, titled “Gorje Utho Brazil,” was released on YouTube and also featured famed actor of “Antar Jala,” Joy Chowdhury, along with Bipasha Kabir.
The lyrics and tune were composed by Akash Nibir, who also directed the video, and the singers were “Close Up 1” star Saju Ahmed and Captain. Music for the song was done by Shahin Wadid.
Before Misha made a name by portraying negative roles in films, he was a domestic football player. Being a huge Brazil fan, when he heard of a fan music video being made about his favourite team, he agreed to appear in it without any payment.
“If I were not an actor, I would definitely have been an athlete. And of course I would have played football. That is how much I love it,” he said. “When I learnt that they were making a music video about Brazil and they wanted me, I didn’t think twice [about saying yes]. I agreed straightaway.”
The music video was shot at the FDC, and was released by Unlimited Audio Video YouTube channel on June 17, the day Brazil played its first match in the Fifa World Cup 2018.
