An open air concert will be held at the Mohammadpur Physical College field on Friday. Titled “Gorbito Bangladesh” (Proud Bangladesh), the concert is organized by IRB Event Ltd and supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The bands performing in the concert will include Maqsood O' Dhaka, Nagar Baul and Artcell. Singer Mehreen will perform solo at the event.
A documentary on the success of the present government will also be screened at the venue.
The concert will take place from 3-10pm. The tickets can be bought online for Tk200.
The head of IRB Event Ltd, Moin Al Helal, said: “We’re working to entertain the city dwellers. Previously, we organized ‘Rock On Dhaka’ successfully. ‘Gorbito Bangladesh’ is a continuation of that. We hope everyone will enjoy the concert.”
