Indian film professionals conduct workshop for Bangladeshi youth

The event is free for all, and the last date of registration is July 26

Moviyana Film Society and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy are jointly organizing a two-day long workshop for youth on scriptwriting, acting, directing, cinematography, and film marketing. It is titled “Cholochitra Nirmanjatra” and is scheduled to take place from July 27-28.

Indian film-maker and actor Anindo Banerjee will direct the entire workshop. He has acted in Kolkata’s theatres and films for a long time. He has starred in over 50 films. He mainly makes films about secularism.

The trainers for this workshop are Modhura Pallit, an Indian cinematographer and assistant teacher at Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, and Debjani Chattopadhyay, who is a film marketing expert. The workshop has been planned and executed by writer and film-maker Belayet Hossain Mamun.

The workshop will be held at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy this Friday and Saturday. Classes will begin at 9am and will last till 8pm. The event is free for all, and the last date of registration is July 26. Registration is open every day, from 5pm to 8pm at the National Dramatics Building of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
