Miss World Bangladesh 2018 finalist Afrin Sultana Laboni, who won the "Best Behaviour" title and turned into a viral sensation recently for giving inconsistent answers to the judges’ question on the pageant’s grand finale, has been found out to be married, according to a recent exclusive report by India Times.
According to the investigative report of India Times, she had a court marriage with her ex-husband Ataur Rahman Atik in the Jamalpur Court back on August 18, 2014. They got divorced in May 17, 2016 and Atik later filed a case against her accusing her of theft. The case is still ongoing.

Moreover, Jannatul Ferdous Oishi was crowned as the winner of Miss World Bangladesh 2018 following the dazzling gala night at International Convention Centre Bashundhara (ICCB) on September 30.
Nishat Nawar Salwa and Naziba Bushra became first and second runners-up respectively.
The other finalists were: Shirin Shila, Monjira Bashar, Ishrat Jahan Sabrin, Smitha Tumpa Baroi, Afrin Sultana Laboni, Sumona Nath Ananya, and Jannatul Mawa.
Previously, Jannatul Nayeem Avril, the former Miss World Bangladesh winner was disqualified following all the controversies about her past marriage and more. Then the organizers of Antar Showbiz selected Jessia Islam to represent Bangladesh at the international event of the biggest beauty pageant in the world.
Back in 2017, the organizer of the pageant, Antar Showbiz, announced that any false information given by the contestants will result in a fine of Tk10 lakh, following the controversies led by 2017 title holder Jannatul Nayeem Avril. No such action has been taken against Laboni yet as the organizers recently told the press, that they will look into the matter after this year’s title holder Oishi returns from China after attending the main event in December.
