Abdun Noor Tushar to replace Annisul Huq in ‘Shobinoye Jante Chai’ reboot

Popular television personality Dr Abdun Noor Tushar will replace the late Annisul Huq, entrepreneur, television personality and former mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation, in the reboot of national election talk show “Shobinoye Jante Chai.”  

The massively popular political talk show, previously hosted by Annisul Huq and moderated by Tushar, was aired on Bangladesh Television (BTV) during the 1996 national elections. Major political figures from various parties attended the show at the time. 

Twenty two years later, the show will be rebooted on the former mayor’s television channel Nagorik TV, according to a recent press statement from the channel. 

The first episode of the show will air on Thursday at 11pm, and it will air at the same time in each subsequent week. The show will be hosted by the channel’s current CEO Dr Abdun Noor Tushar.

On the talk show, discussions on the candidates for the election, the public’s reaction to election campaigns, and other such topics will be held. Panelists will include politicians from various parties, journalists, and members of civil society, among others. The live audience at the studio can also participate in the discussions.
