First multidisciplinary conference held at EWU

Nearly 200 participants from 12 different countries took part in the conference. The conference provided a leading platform for academics, researchers, and participants to present and discuss the contemporary issues, trends, challenges as well as solutions in the various fields of gender, health, information, and environment. 

The inaugural session of the conference was attended by Zuena Aziz, Senior Secretary, Syed Manzur Elahi, Chairperson, Board of Trustees, EWU, Prof Dr M M Shahidul Hassan, Vice Chancellor, EWU, Ellen Bal, Associate Professor, VU University, Netherlands, and Prof Dr Fakrul Alam, UGC Professor. The keynote speakers of the inaugural session were Dr Maitrayee Chaudhuri, Professor, Jawaharlal Neheru University, India and Tahmeed Ahmed, Senior Director, International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh. Dr Fouzia Mannan, Dean, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, EWU and Dr Sufia Islam, Professor, Department of Pharmacy, EWU delivered their welcome speeches in the inaugural ceremony.  A large number of participants were present on the occasion.
