5 questions with Hasan Saifuddin Chandan
Hasan Saifuddin Chandan is noted for documenting everyday life through his photography in a fashion that is “direct” and “devoid of theatrics”.
Recently the acclaimed photographer partnered with global smartphone maker vivo to try out the camera on the much hyped X60 Pro. Here is what he had to say.
How was your experience using the X60 Pro?
vivo X60 Pro is one of its kind and it has been truly amazing to get to experience this smartphone, especially since it comes with the Gimbal stabilization technology that is usually used for professional photography. It helps in capturing every small detail and helps me find beauty in little things.
You said you were able to capture photos with clarity. Tell us about that a little bit.
It is very important to capture movement in the frame accurately, which can become a pain point for many photographers and content creators. With the Gimbal Stabilization 2.0 in X60 Pro, vivo has tried to solve all these pain points and it captures sharp pictures easily since it overcomes the shakiness resulting in clean and clear pictures.
Was it easy capture things in motion with the X60 Pro?
Motion Photography can be tricky so you need to be aware of your surroundings and take note of the lighting. vivo X60 Pro is equipped with vivo-ZEISS Co-engineered Imaging System, bringing the ZEISS imaging philosophy to smartphones making the photography function more powerful. This imaging technology enables unlimited creativity in all images and gets you the best pictures. You can even use the Pro Sports Mode to capture the best moving shots.
Which camera mode you found most useful on the X60 Pro?
It usually depends on the kind of shot that you want to capture. I personally like the ZEISS’s signature bokeh ZEISS Biotar portrait style available in the X60 Pro camera. It allows users to create customized professional portraits with an unprecedented ability to render centre sharpness and a unique swirly harmonious bokeh. The bokeh effect — which basically means how the background looks, behind the main subject in the foreground — makes the photos look nothing less than professional photos clicked on DSLRs, adding a unique feature to smartphones provided by vivo. If I want a close-up detailed shot, I usually prefer this mode as it helps in detailing and works beautifully to capture all the intrinsic details. Ultimately, it is what you want to photograph and how you want to tell the story.
What is your overall impression about vivo X60 Pro’s camera?
The camera system is impressive. vivo has added a 48MP+13MP+13MP camera with ‘Gimbal Stabilization 2.0’ on the 48MP lens, which ensures a steadier performance. The Blue and Black color looks royal and very pleasing, the camera is quick to focus and the intrinsic details makes it a smartphone not to miss! With its Superb Night Camera 2.0, you can experiment and play with the textures. Honestly, night photography makes everything look more real, pleasing and probably that is the reason everybody likes to click at night, be it a traveler or fashion photographer which makes X60 Pro’s Extreme Night Vision 2.0 very useful. You can get professional-level photography as it comes with VIS 5-Axis Video Stabilization that combats shaking from all angles and gets you the perfect click.
