A total of 83,338 female students secured GPA 5
The results of 2020 HSC exams show boys are ahead in pass rate but girls are ahead in securing GPA 5.
All of 1,367,377 examinees of 11 education boards have passed the 2020 HSC examination since the government earlier decided to not hold the exams due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Education Minister Dipu Moni said: “Pass rate is 100%. A total of 161,807 students achieved GPA 5, and this time, the pass rate and GPA 5 rate has increased compared to the previous year.”
She made the remarks at a press briefing at the International Mother Language Institute on Saturday morning.
In 2019, out of 1,336,629 students, 47,026 students achieved GPA 5 and the pass rate was 73.93%.
This time 78,469 male students and 83,338 female students secured GPA 5.

Besides, there were 4,145 students who achieved GPA 5 out of 1,33,746 candidates in the Technical education board.
And, there were 4,048 students who achieved GPA 5 out of 88,302 candidates in Madrasa education board.
