Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim issued a directive stating free medical services will be provided on Friday from 8am-12pm.
The free medical services will be provided by public hospitals across the country as part of an initiative to commemorate the 98th birthday of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Father of the Nation.
Bangabandhu was born on March 17, 1920. Bangabandhu’s birthday also coincides with the National Children’s Day and, in observance of both, a discussion will also be held from 8am to 8:30am at public hospitals.
In addition, patients at public hospitals will be served special meals on the day.
