A ruling party reserved woman MP has drawn criticism after posting photos from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Square Hospital in Dhaka with machete attack victim Khadiza Akhter Nargis in the background.
In these photos, Awami League's Sabina Akter Tuhin is seen along with Jubo Mohila League General Secretary Opu Ukil and another woman at the ICU with Khadiza who is unconscious and on life support. In another photo, she is standing there alone.
The photos are circulating on Facebook and have created outrage among the people who are demanding capital punishment for the perpetrator, a Chhatra League leader of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet.

This photo was posted publicly to Sabina Akhter's profile on Wednesday night and was later removed[/caption]
Khadiza was hacked on the head mercilessly with a machete by Badrul Alam on Monday afternoon in Sylhet.
SUST unit Chhatra League has refused to recognise Badrul as one of their leaders, claiming that his deputy secretary post became invalid as he started working.
A previous version of this article contained a link to the MP's Facebook post which contained the photos. The post appears to have been removed
