Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL) Managing Director Md Monwar Hossain said: “Fixing the submarine cable repeaters is a regular process. It has not been done for quite some time. Over the three days, we will repair the repeater of the 1,260km long SEA-ME-WE 4 cable.”
Bangladesh gets 300Gbps bandwidth from the SEA-ME-WE 4 cable. But BSCCL only provides 250Gbps from it. The national usage is currently 440Gbps. Six international extraterrestrial cable associations are importing another 150Gbps of bandwidth.
