3 Tabligh Jamaat attendees test positive for coronavirus in Manikganj

Three Tabligh Jamaat attendees tested positive for coronavirus in Singair upazila of Manikgaj district on Tuesday.

Civil Surgeon Dr Anwarul Amin Akhond said the three persons, who had attended a Tabligh Jamaat congregation in Faridpur and Singair upazila of the district, were found infected with coronavirus, reports UNB.

They were taken to the isolation unit of Singair Upazila Health Complex.

Earlier, the authorities collected samples from 11 Tabligh Jamaat attendees and found three of them positive for the virus.

On Saturday, a 60-year-old man who attended the Tabligh Jamaat event tested positive for the virus in Singair upazila.

Later, two mosques in the upazila were put under lockdown by the local administration.
