RAB Magistrate Sarwoer, wife test positive for Covid-19

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Magistrate Sarwoer Alam and his wife have tested positive for Covid-19.

Sarwoer confirmed the matter through a Facebook post on Saturday and asked everyone to pray for them.

He said on Saturday, they came to know that they tested positive for Covid-19. His wife has been admitted to the coronavirus unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) and he is taking treatment while staying in isolation at home.

However, both of their children have tested negative for Covid-19.

On Saturday, 2,635 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Bangladesh, taking the total number of cases to 63,026.

The country has also recorded 35 new deaths from Covid-19 on the same day, taking the number of deaths to 846.
