The old RT-PCR machine was launched on May 12 and it went out of order on May 27 after testing 861 samples
The RT-PCR laboratory at Sheikh Hasina Medical College in Jamalpur for Covid-19 testing is operable once again after it went out of order a month ago.
With 54 samples tested on Friday, the lab is being completely operated with another RT-PCR machine, which was installed replacing the old one that broke on May 27.
Confirming the matter, Jamalpur Civil Surgeon Dr Pranay Kanti Das said eight people tested positive in the lab on Friday.
Acting on directives by the Health Ministry, Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University transferred their RT-PCR machine to the medical college.
