At least 11 people, including 9 in Comilla, died of symptoms similar to that of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours until Thursday morning in Comilla, Moulvibazar and Chuadanga.
In Comilla, nine died at Comilla Medical College hospital, confirmed Doctor Sajeda Khatun, assistant director of the hospital.
She said so far 116 people died from Covid-19 and Covid-19 like symptoms at the hospital.
Altogether 81 people have been infected with Covid-19 in the last 34 hours till Tuesday night, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 4,167.
In Moulvibazar, a 30-year-old man died with Covid-19 symptoms at the isolation unit of Moulvibazar 250 Bed District Hospital on Wednesday evening.
Dr Ahmed Foisal, resident medical officer of the hospital said, a sample of the deceased was sent for Covid-19 detection test.
So far 573 people have been confirmed positive with the virus while 298 recovered. Of them, 11 died after contracting the virus, and 35 others died of symptoms similar to Covid-19.
In Chuadanga, a 67-year-old man died of symptoms similar to Covid-19 while he was being treated at the “Yellow Zone” of Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.
Dr Shamim Kabir, resident medical officer of the hospital said the deceased was suffering from fever, cold, and breathing problems when he was admitted on Tuesday.
As of yet, 7 more people have been tested positive with the virus in Chuadanga taking the number of infected to 276. Of them, 174 recovered and 3 died.
