Bangladesh is celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr on Friday amid restrictions amid the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemid. Eid Jamaats were held maintaining health guidelines.
No Eid jamaat (congregation) was held at the National Eidgah Maidan this year. However, five Eid congregations were held at 7am, 8am, 9am, 10am, and 10:45am at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
Meanwhile, Islami Andolan Bangladesh members gathered in front of Baitul Mukarram Mosque following Eid ul-Fitr prayers to protest Israeli actions in Jerusalem and airstrikes in Gaza as tensions between Israel and Palestine only increased.
