Home Junction brings vibrant and unique jute pieces that add a twist to the traditional home
With an aim to rebrand jute - an element deeply rooted in our culture and heritage - in home décor products, Home Junction was established. Seeing how this very element is underappreciated, and home décor options scarce, Home Junction brings vibrant and unique jute pieces that add a twist to the traditional home.
A collaboration of three young entrepreneurs - Titly Ferdous, Badhon Hossain and Azwa Nayeem – Home Junction makes a variety of home décor products, such as cushion covers, bed spreads, ottomans, table runners, mats, bean bags, and even lamp shades, using jute and cotton. Their designs are influenced by the seasons, where each collection follows a theme. They hope that this would initiate the trend of revamping your home every season. They aspire to design products “with a fresh, funky and contemporary look so that they appeal to urban home owners, young couples and even kids”.
The team is also affiliated with Alokito Foundation, and they have been running Alokito Hridoy School in Tangail. This school focuses on educating and developing the skills of underprivileged children. Since the growth of such projects is stunted by insufficient funding, a portion of the earnings from Home Junction are used for the school. Home Junction intends to liven up homes with their quirky designs, using eco-friendly materials, while also serving the community.
