Describe your collection in three words.
The festive escape.
What was the inspiration behind your shoot concept?
Well, the inspiration of the campaign was hauled from the present day scenario, where we have been forced to stay indoors because of the pandemic, and tried to bring nature into our homes and enliven our gloomy lives. Our walls breathed as we adorned it with greeneries and floras, watching birds fly by through our windows and dreaming of stepping out. We resorted to old ways of spending time indoors with our families or friends, appreciating Mother Nature.
Do you have a favourite piece from this collection?
All of them are dear to my heart, but my favourite piece from the collection is the olive forest angrakha.
Let’s talk about the colour palette. What was going on in your mind when you came up with the designs?
If you want to see colours, you will choose the alleys and architecture of Morocco. That is exactly what the palette revolved around. I was thinking of the amalgamation of rich cultures and the striking vibrant jewel tones, that will tend to uplift the mood with eccentric florals, feminine cuts, gorgeous pleats and reflective zardosi work.
