Festival faces

Eid is something we all anticipate with full force every year! It has become a ritual for me to wakeup early in the morning and dress up to my heart’s content. Since I get out in the morning and have to stay out till late at night, I’ll usually do something neutral to last me the entire day and simply amp it up to look more glamorous/suitable for the night events.

TIP: Remember to bake your under eyes and t-zone for a bullet-proof make-up that lasts you the entire day since it’s going to be pretty hot and humid this year. Keep the lips subtle and focus more attention to your eyes, experimenting is always fun!

Neutral day to night makeover This particular look has always been my go to every Eid. Soft neutral tones for a subtle cut crease, not too vivid or outrageous for day time. It also goes with almost any outfit in case I’m changing to a second one in the middle of the day. I’m wearing: Eyes – Morphe 35O Palette Face – Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit and Glow Kit Lips – ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick – ‘Solow’

Lashes – JANDS Mink Lashes in ‘Sylhet’ (Switch to something heavier for the night) I’ll usually define the crease a bit more, add some shimmer or glitter and maybe switch to a brighter/darker lipstick for the night.

Bronze smokey halo eyes Try the halo eyes this Eid for more depth and definition on your eyes. The bright centre pops and looks gorgeous while the smokey inner and outer edges give it a lot of dimension. Pair it with a nice bright lip to pull everything together and you’re good to go. Pop some glitters onto the centre of the lid for more oomph, smoke out the inner and outer edges with darker colours, add heavier lashes and switch to a darker colour for your lips to look more glamorous in the night. I’m wearing: 1) Eyes: ColourPop ‘Where The Night Is’ eyeshadows 2) Face: NARS All Day Luminous Foundation – ‘Barcelona’ Charlotte Tilburry Cheek to Chic Blush – Love Glow Becca X Jaclyn Hill – Champagne Pop

3) Lips: Ofra x Kathleen Lights – Miami Fever

4) Lashes: JANDS Mink Lashes in ‘Moulvibazaar’

Summer colours I always love a bright pop of colour and this is one of my favourite looks. Sweep a nice transition shade/bronzer along the crease line and outer corners and apply a nice shimmery gold/green or bright colour of your choice to match your outfit. For ladies who love bold lips no matter what the time of the day is, you can pull this off throughout the day and night I’m wearing: Face - NARS – All Day Luminous Foundation NARS Velvet Pressed Powder Eyes – Morphe 35O Palette and ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in ‘Telepathy’ JANDS Mink Lashes in ‘Dhaka’ Lips – ColourPop ‘Tulle’

Bright pop of colour I love adding a pop of colour in my inner corners. When I do opt for this eye look, I always pair it with a subtle nude lip to balance it out and keep the attention on my eyes. You can go for turquoise, lime green, yellow or any colour of your choice! I’m wearing: Face – YSL Fusion Ink Foundation Eyes - Too Faced Sugar Pop Palette Lips – ColourPop Lippie Stix ‘Brink’ & ColourPop Ultra Matte ‘Solow’ Here’s to a gorgeous and very joyous Eid this year. Happy dressing up ladies!
